Editorial - Issue 1

by Pedro Diogo

 ellow students,
F
It is a privilege to be able to take over from Stephen Wan and lead the team to bring to you yet another issue of NOISE. After a well-deserved break, there is nothing like returning to college for another year of academic, sporting, cultural and artistic success. Richmond upon Thames College is the right place for you: whoever you are, whatever you enjoy studying; this is a college of excellence, dedicated to fulfilling each student’s aspirations—if you’re new to the college, you will soon realise how very true this is.
Upon taking on this new role and leading the project through 2010/11, I’d like to make clear what my editorial style will be for NOISE: by providing a breadth of articles, ranging from college life to literature, from drama and music to sport, NOISE tries to captivate all sorts of students as potential readership. By adopting a style that is clear and being rigorous and balanced in content, this student newspaper has every chance of being successful.
The Student Voice plays a very important role in RuTC’s success and NOISE is instrumental in achieving this.
As you turn these pages, we hope you will realise how every page, every article, is full of insightful, interesting and inspiring news,  reviews and comments, all aimed at informing and entertaining you
Of course, we’re only successful if there is a continuous stream of articles, thoughts and images being provided, so if you want to be part of the team, or just send an occasional review or article please get in touch by emailing noise.rutc@gmail.com.
I wish you every success and hope you enjoy reading NOISE!
