Proposed cuts prompt strike action…twice

· Myfanwy Hughes

Lecturers at Richmond upon Thames College took industrial action on Thursday 25th November, and again on Monday 6th December. The lecturers, all members of the University and College Union, walked out twice in the space of two weeks in protest at the proposed college restructuring programme.

Many students have been concerned with the number of lessons they’ve missed due to the ongoing dispute. It is unclear if there are further strikes planned at this stage, but we will keep you posted.
